Directions
DIRECTIONS TO FORT NOTTINGHAM:
From Durban - take the freeway (N3) towards Johannesburg.
- After bypassing Pietermaritzburg and Howick but before you get to Mooi River, you will see a flyoff sign that says NOTTINGHAM ROAD (flyoff #132). Take this offramp (if you miss this, your next possible flyoff is Mooi River).
- At the top of the flyoff turn RIGHT towards Nottingham Road.
- Eight (8) kilometers down this road you will come into the village of Nottingham Road...you enter the village by turning RIGHT under the railway bridge opposite The Junction Complex.
- Just 200 meters through and past the bridge, and just before the Spar and Engen garage, there is a road to the LEFT, well sign posted FORT NOTTINGHAM.
- 10 kilometers down this (tar) road there is a sign to the RIGHT that says FORT NOTTINGHAM 2 KM...you are now getting close...take this right (if you do not take this right turn, you will end up back in Howick via a terrible dirt road which is a very silly thing to do)
- Two (2) kilometers down this road you will come to an oak tree right in the middle of the road - you cannot miss it, but try to! We think you will see The Games from there...
From Johannesburg - turn these directions upside down, and forget all mention of Pietermaritzburg and Howick, and come PAST Mooi River to find the flyoff to Nottingham Road...
